2 Men Are Charged With Stealing a Famous Banksy Artwork from a London Gallery
Briefly

Larry Fraser, 47, and James Love, 53, have been charged with burglary after allegedly stealing Banksy's 'Girl with Balloon' during a smash-and-grab at the Grove Gallery, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.
Gallery manager Lindor Mehmetaj expressed horror over the theft, stating, 'We are very lucky, but it is very unusual to have it recovered,' referring to the artwork's potential increase in value.
The stolen artwork, valued at 270,000 pounds ($355,000), is one of several versions of Banksy's famous 'Girl with Balloon,' which has seen various reproductions and fame over the years.
Banksy's works, including the notorious self-shredded 'Love is in the Bin,' illustrate how theft can not only steal art but may inadvertently enhance its market value.
