Gorringe named Swansea chief executive

Tom Gorringe has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Swansea City AFC after a month as chief operating officer. His promotion follows the news of Andy Coleman's upcoming exit as chairman. Gorringe's experience from previous football clubs is recognized by shareholders Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen, who expect him to restructure the club for greater efficiency. Swansea's new leadership structure aims to align with long-term goals set by the latest ownership group based in the U.S. Coleman will remain involved but will return to the U.S. this summer after two seasons in Wales.
"We met Tom in the winter of 2024, and we were immediately impressed speaking with him," said a joint statement from Swansea shareholders Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen.
Cravatt and Cohen... say they have been impressed by Gorringe's "positive impact" since his appointment as COO.
