Liverpool said Slot departs with a Premier League title and expressed gratitude. Fabrizio Romano reported Andoni Iraola was the “clear favourite” to replace him, with a successor appointment process already underway. Mohamed Salah’s relationship with Slot deteriorated after Salah was dropped for three consecutive matches, and Salah later called for “heavy metal football.”
