Size of Scotland's LGBTQ+ population revealed for first time in new census data

Data from Scotland's 2022 census showed around 184,000 LGB individuals, 80,100 as gay or lesbian, 80,260 as bisexual, and 23,500 identifying with other sexual orientations like pansexual or queer.
Close to 20,000 people identified as transgender or having a trans history in Scotland. 46.1% were aged 16-24, while 26% were between 25-34.
