The iconic Norms coffee shop on La Cienega Boulevard may soon be replaced by Raising Cane’s, marking a significant shift in Los Angeles’s architectural and culinary landscape.
Although the other Norms locations will remain operational, the La Cienega spot is especially significant as it reflects the distinctive Googie architecture of midcentury Los Angeles.
Raising Cane's plans to preserve the legacy of Norm's, assuring that the building's iconic Googie architecture will remain intact as they introduce chicken finger meals.
The proposal to replace Norms with Raising Cane's must first be approved by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission, as the restaurant has been a historic monument since 2015.
