Clayton McCullough believes key role with Dodgers helped become Marlins manager
Briefly

"I think I really kind of felt it when I got the opportunity to be field coordinator. Had been a manager in the Minor Leagues, you're in the dugout, you're kind of living with the group each day... Then the chance to be field coordinator, I had my eyes opened to a different way of looking at player development and player improvement."
"Running a Spring Training (alternate site in 2020), having to kind of be out at the forefront and message things to players and staff, that job, I felt really started to help prepare me for the opportunity to do this... offered a lot of front office conversations and vision, as well as still getting out there on the field."
