Blake Treinen, who hasn't pitched since suffering a bruised lung when he was struck by a line drive in a March 9 exhibition game, threw in the bullpen Thursday and will begin facing hitters soon in preparation for a minor league rehab stint. But Roberts said the reliever is 'still a few weeks away' from returning to the Dodgers bullpen.
The 35-year-old took a shot to the lung/rib area on a hard comebacker against the Texas Rangers on March 9th. He has been shut down for a while now, so he will need time to ramp things back up. Once Treinen gets back into a rhythm, there should be more of a timeline for the veteran to return.
