ERC-7726: Never Code an Oracle in Ethereum Again | HackerNoon
Briefly

The oracle layer was built over the simple concept of using token amounts instead of token prices, a novel idea that gained acceptance over time.
It bothered me that too many builders were reimplementing the same contracts once and again. We all have better things to do.
We wanted to create something useful first, ensuring it was fit for purpose before proposing it as an ERC.
The specification would help create a de facto standard, leading to broader adoption by builders and eliminating redundant implementations.
