The Federal Police of Brazil announced the arrest of a hacker responsible for a breach that leaked 2.9 billion records, including sensitive personal information.
The hacker was linked to two publications selling federal police data and allegedly disclosed the personal data of 80,000 members of the FBI's InfraGard program.
Security researchers revealed that the leak contained approximately 272 million unique Social Security numbers and potentially 600 million phone numbers.
