The researchers write that those who visited the ER for cannabis-related reasons were 3.7 times more likely to be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder within three years, and 9 times more likely to require a healthcare visit for anxiety later on.
Unfortunately, the research hasn't documented much proof yet that they help, and a growing number of studies suggest the new generation of higher-potency cannabis products may even be worsening users' anxiety symptoms.
