Scientists Reveal Grim Results of Eating Two Slices of Ham Per Day
Briefly

Eating both red and processed meats significantly increases the risk of type 2 diabetes, with just two slices of ham per day raising chances substantially.
The researchers found that 100 grams of unprocessed red meat daily boosts diabetes risk by around 10%, while 50 grams of processed meat raises it by about 15%.
Professor Nita Forouhi stated, 'Our research provides the most comprehensive evidence to date of an association between eating processed meat and unprocessed red meat and a higher future risk of type 2 diabetes.'
Although poultry consumption increased diabetes risk by eight percent, the association was found to be weaker compared to the links with red and processed meat.
