After years of wrangling with the U.S. Federal Drug Administration (FDA), the maker of a drug that's supposed to prevent premature birth - but apparently doesn't - is voluntarily pulling it off the market.Manufacturer Covis Pharma opted to yank the drug, Makena, from shelves after the FDA indicated it was taking steps to force it off the market anyway.
