Longevity enthusiast Bryan Johnson says he doesn't want to run his anti-aging company anymore
Briefly

Bryan Johnson, a 47-year-old entrepreneur, is contemplating selling or shuttering his anti-aging startup, Blueprint, to prioritize his newly founded religion, Don't Die. Johnson, who has invested $2 million annually in anti-aging initiatives since 2021, at one point infused himself with his son's blood as part of his quest for youth but ceased after six months due to perceived ineffectiveness. While Johnson's firm markets wellness products, including a longevity drink and a mushroom coffee alternative, he acknowledges conflicts between operating a business focused on longevity and leading a religion that similarly espouses these themes.
"Honestly, I am so close to either shutting it down or selling it. I don’t need the money, and it’s a pain-in-the-ass company," he said.
"Years ago, I did a thought experiment imagining myself in the presence of people from the 25th century. It seemed obvious that they’d say Don't Die is how humanity saved itself and merged with AI," Johnson wrote.
