How colour became a character in Memoir of a Snail, with the help of DaVinci Resolve Studio

Adam's meticulous planning for Memoir of a Snail involved specific color palettes that reflected the emotional journey of the character Grace across various cities.

Each city in Memoir of a Snail carries its unique palette and mood—Paris is warm and nostalgic while Melbourne's tones represent a subdued emotional state for Grace.

Collaboration with Adam Elliot allowed me to anticipate his aesthetic, as his clear vision and comprehensive storyboards provided detailed insights into the film's emotional intent.

Using DaVinci Resolve's FX tools, we achieved a romantic look for Grace and Ken, enhancing key elements like red items to heighten emotional impact.
