Shell will perform MCS testing at its Technology Center in Hamburg - Sustainable Bus
Briefly

Shell is establishing a new electric vehicle charging testing facility in Hamburg, aimed at advancing megawatt charging systems for various vehicles, including trucks and buses. The center will include twelve automated test benches, over fifty test stations, and climate-controlled chambers to simulate extreme conditions. It will support comprehensive testing capabilities such as battery performance assessments and safety protocols. The test center underscores Shell's commitment to e-mobility and is expected to be fully operational by 2027, enhancing their existing charging services in Europe.
With the construction of this high-performance test center, we aim to contribute to the maturation of megawatt charging solutions and support the commercial transport sector in its energy transition.
The facility will feature 12 automated test benches, over 50 configurable test stations, and climate-controlled chambers replicating extreme conditions ranging from -40°C to +50°C.
