The appeals court ruled that while Shell has an obligation to reduce emissions, there is no universally accepted target, undermining the 2021 court's mandate.

The letter revealed considerable concern about Shell's potential legal and reputational risk to UK Sport, British Cycling, and the National Lottery, driving discussions at an extraordinary board meeting.
