"We are profoundly grateful for every visit, every shared meal, and every memory created around our tables,"
"as we pass the torch, we take comfort in knowing the same spirit and philosophy - centered on quality, integrity, and community - will live on. The company stepping forward shares our commitment to excellence, and we trust they will honor the values that have defined Michael's on Naples for the past 18 years."
"We have celebrated so many events at Michael's: Mother's Day, New Years, birthdays and anniversaries. And that doesn't even count the random walk over to see if we could get a table or sit in the bar. You all will be missed tremendously,"
Michael's on Naples, located at 5620 E. Second St. in Long Beach, will close on Sept. 30 after 18 years in business. The restaurant announced the closure on Instagram and expressed gratitude for visits, shared meals, memories, and staff, singling out general manager Massimo Aronne. No reason for the closure was given and representatives did not return calls. The announcement said a company will take over and pledged to uphold the restaurant's spirit of quality, integrity, and community, but did not identify the successor or confirm a future reopening under a different name. Michael's opened in 2007 and became a popular farm-to-table Italian staple.
