Jack's Brewing Company in Fremont will close on New Year's Eve after operating since 1999. The brewpub opened in the Fremont Hub and built a neighborhood reputation as a cozy micro-brewery, pub and restaurant with a dark-stained horseshoe wood bar, high-top tables and cozy booths. Tricia and Brian Sparling, longtime regulars, took over ownership in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jack's poured a rotating list of locally made beers and brewed six beers in-house, including Jack's IPA, Boys of Summer wheat pilsner, an amber ale, a pale ale and a porter. The pub hosted popular football watch parties and celebrated 25 years with a limited Witches Brew release.
