Dom Taylor won Channel 4's Five Star Kitchen and previously ran The Good Front Room as a 2023 residency at The Langham. A casual takeaway, Marvee's Food Shop in Notting Hill, closed after a short 2025 run, enabling a permanent revival. The Good Front Room will open in Dalston Square this February as an 80-cover restaurant serving contemporary Caribbean dishes ranging from gungo pea daal and ackee & saltfish cake to rum & raisin pork belly and a seafood boil. The drinks menu features a signature Rum Punch and Caribbean beers. The venue will display local artwork and host monthly spoken word and live music, drawing on Windrush-generation front-room traditions.
