The video also made the rounds on Reddit, where one person claims to have identified the restaurant and reported it to the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health."
"Employee stated that this was a one-time occurrence as there was no room available on the food preparation counter, where they would usually work with the meat, so they were temporarily working outside. When they realized that the meat was falling out of the package and onto the ground, they saw that the meat had become contaminated, and immediately discarded all of the meat. Employee stated that none of the meat seen in the video was cooked or served to the public."
Pho Love in Milpitas temporarily closed after a viral video allegedly showed an employee throwing frozen short ribs onto the parking lot. The video, shot from a rooftop vantage, shows frozen ribs bouncing off cardboard and contacting parking-lot concrete and reached millions of views across TikTok and Reddit. A Reddit user reported the restaurant to the Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health. An inspection found major violations including a live cockroach and lack of a sanitization method. An employee told the inspector they were the person in the video and said the meat was discarded and none of it was cooked or served. Yelp reviews surged and posting was temporarily disabled.
