Mixt will open its 20th location at 301 S. B St. in San Mateo on March 3. The fast-casual chain specializes in salads, sandwiches and warm bowls and launched in 2006 in San Francisco. The chain emphasizes sustainability and marks its 20th anniversary with the new opening. During opening week the San Mateo team will offer daily freebies and promotions, including branded bags, fitness class passes, mini cupcakes, bamboo salad servers, a scavenger hunt, mailed postcards and chances to win free food. The new outlet occupies the former B Street Books space. Supply limitations and terms apply to the promotions.
