"Just days after Diwali, Atlanta will welcome its newest award-winning Indian restaurant. Miami's Michelin-recommended Ghee Indian Kitchen opens at Star Metals in West Midtown on October 23. The restaurant from chef Niven Patel and restaurateur Mo Alkassar is making its first expansion outside Florida, and right now feels much like an Indian house before Diwali - last-minute decor is in place, and lighting and mirrors are getting hung before the doors swing open ceremoniously."
"Next to Northside Tavern, the Ghee space channels the spirit of its Miami flagship, with bold color: yellow limewash, terracotta and dusty rose walls, and a light, weathered turquoise blue that's found in the wood and banquettes throughout. Furniture was handcrafted in India, and Patel and Alkassar collaborated with Paty Duran of Hybrid Creative (also behind Ghee Wynwood) to design a space that feels warm and welcoming."
Ghee Indian Kitchen, a Michelin-recommended Miami restaurant from chef Niven Patel and restaurateur Mo Alkassar, opens its first expansion outside Florida at Star Metals in West Midtown on October 23. The space echoes the Miami flagship with bold colors—yellow limewash, terracotta, dusty rose, and weathered turquoise—along with handcrafted Indian furniture and artisanal inlays. A massive spice wall will function as a working station where spices are ground in-house. The team collaborated with Paty Duran of Hybrid Creative on design. The menu will include Ghee favorites such as dosas, lamb neck curry, and green papaya salad.
