'Captain America: Brave New World' still soaring at box office
Briefly

Captain America: Brave New World dominated the box office during its second weekend, raking in $7.2 million. Critics, however, labeled it the weakest entry in the franchise. Following closely was the horror-comedy The Monkey, which earned $5 million but faced harsh criticism. Paddington in Peru maintained popularity, securing third with $1.565 million, while Dog Man and Ne Zha 2 rounded out the top five. Ne Zha 2 achieved remarkable success as the highest-grossing animated film globally, overtaking Inside Out 2, which previously held the record.
According to The Numbers, the fourth installment of Captain America, despite being the worst in the series, still topped the box office with $7.2 million.
The comedy horror film, The Monkey, was released the same day and generated $5 million, but critics are less impressed, calling it a poor man's 'Chucky'.
Paddington in Peru is holding on to its audience in third place with $1.565 million, continuing the family-friendly spirit of the Paddington film series.
Ne Zha 2's impressive performance at the box office has solidified it as the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, surpassing Inside Out 2.
