Andrew Garfield would only return as Spider-Man under these conditions
Briefly

"For sure, I would 100 percent come back if it was the right thing, if it's additive to the culture, if there's a great concept or something that hasn't been done before that's unique and odd and exciting and that you can sink your teeth into," he told Esquire in an interview published Wednesday.
"I love that character, and it brings joy," Garfield added. "If part of what I bring is joy, then I'm joyful in return."
Garfield noted that his 'Spider-Man' franchise was 'left dangling' when a third film never materialized. Luckily, he got to suit up as the web-slinger again in 2021 for Tom Holland's third 'Spider-Man' film, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home.' "It was really healing for me," Garfield said about reprising the role alongside Tobey Maguire, who played the OG Peter Parker in Sam Raimi's trilogy.
In July, there were rumors that Garfield was preparing to play Spider-Man again after Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed that a new movie about the superhero was in the works. However, Garfield shut the rumors down last month while at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting his new film 'We Live in Time.' "I mean, like the internet is a big place," the actor told IndieWire. "I think there's a lot of people who will just say anything to get clicks."
