Despite impressive technological advancements, such as Ji Yue's Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities, brands like Ji Yue have not been able to achieve sustainable sales figures. As the market becomes increasingly competitive, the ongoing survival of these brands hangs in the balance, raising questions about the sustainability of such a vast number of startups in the EV space.
Even in the year I've been traveling there, the country has already lost a few, some of which weren't small players.
It's foolish to assume all of them will surviveâand already, many aren't making the cut.
