What I Learned About Cues in Yoga Teacher Training Wasn't Working. Here's What I Do Instead.

Instead of instructing students to "ground through your feet," I had time to encourage a deeper connection to their sensations, creating a richer experience during practice.
Being a yoga teacher is about a lot more than repeating memorized cues. I had to find a new way to guide students and leave space for their own experience.
I split my list of most reliable cues into small sections. By focusing on one area at a time, I could enrich the students' understanding of their practice.
