Johns Hopkins resolves Title VI investigation
Briefly

Johns Hopkins University has reached an agreement to resolve a federal investigation into how it handled Title VI complaints related to discrimination amid campus unrest after the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The investigation revealed that despite receiving 99 complaints of harassment connected to shared ancestry, the university failed to evaluate the impact of these incidents on the campus environment.
Concerns were highlighted that the university did not follow the correct legal standards when assessing these incidents, leading to inconsistencies in their responses to complaints of antisemitism and other forms of harassment.
To address these findings, Johns Hopkins has committed to providing annual training for staff and students regarding discrimination, aiming to improve their response to harassment complaints.
