I thought talking to my teens about their bad behavior would fix it. Then, I got a call from jail that changed everything.

The teenage years have been the hardest. My daughters weren't motivated to get an education because they never knew hardship growing up. Despite my efforts, they resisted my views on education.

Having open conversations with my daughters about their behavior was a priority, but I realized too late that merely talking wasn't enough to change their path.
