How one NYC teen is working to end gun violence

Cora Lynn Mundy, a 17-year-old native New Yorker, is part of the movement to end gun violence and is on the Students Demand Action's 2024 National Student Organizing board at Everytown for Gun Safety, organizing and volunteering for gun safety advocacy projects.
Mundy and her team of high-school students from across America advocate for an end to school shootings, gang violence, and other gun crimes by organizing voter registration drives, relational canvassing, and Advocacy Days to meet with legislators for advocating gun safety laws.
Mundy's advocacy efforts at the state level in Albany resulted in the push for gun safety bills, including the School Anti-Violence Education Act (SAVE Act), showcasing significant progress within a short period, demonstrating her dedication to the cause.
