More than 225 secondary-school students participated in workshops at the New Orleans Museum of Art to learn about African American history through contemporary art by artist Wangechi Mutu.
AP courses in African American Studies and Art History offer high-level learning opportunities for US students, with Mutu's works being included in the curriculum.
