Gunfire in East Oakland led to a fourth shooting death in under 24 hours, occurring just before 6 p.m. in the 2500 block of 98th Avenue.
This incident follows the earlier shooting deaths of three other individuals, bringing the total homicide count to 41 in 2024 for Oakland.
