Wish Book: Kids need a better space to play at San Jose Day Nursery
Briefly

Angela Gomez, director of San Jose Day Nursery, expressed her concern about the current state of the playground, noting it requires constant maintenance due to nighttime cat usage. She stated, 'But what the youngsters don't know is that they're not the only ones who use it. The cats like to come in the middle of the night and use it for their litter boxes, so we're constantly having to sift through and make sure it's safe for the kids.'
Gomez proposed a plan to enhance the playground, suggesting that 'If we could do some colors or a theme, that would be really cool,' and described her vision for a more engaging and safe outdoor area. She indicated that the existing surface could be replaced with a poured-in-place rubber like that used in modern playgrounds.
'I would love to change the shape of the playground and remove some of these big boulders they have set in here that aren't safe for the kids,' Gomez highlighted. She aims to create an environment that not only ensures safety but also inspires creativity and imagination among the children.
