In a troubling incident at Albany Bulb, 44-year-old Marcus Bryant has been arrested for kidnapping a woman he was previously dating. After she resisted advances, Bryant forcibly drove her for nearly thirty minutes, allegedly attempting to sexually assault her multiple times. She described his violent behavior, including suffocating her with a blanket. The woman eventually managed to escape when he briefly left the vehicle. Now held on $1 million bail, Bryant pleads not guilty to the charges, which include intent to commit rape.
The man, identified as Marcus Bryant, of San Francisco, claimed the woman was jealous because they'd been dating and she'd discovered he'd been talking to other women.
Authorities say the woman described a horrifying ordeal. She reportedly told police that she'd previously dated Bryant.
Bryant allegedly climbed on top of her, and when she resisted, he allegedly told her she wasn't going anywhere and started the engine.
When she fought with him, he allegedly put a blanket over her face and suffocated her, nearly causing her to lose consciousness.
