Jamar Searcy, a talented running back from Pittsburg, announced his commitment to Wake Forest after previously decommitting from Washington State. His change in direction followed the hiring of coach Jake Dickert, who moved to Wake Forest after leaving Washington State. Searcy had a standout high school season, rushing for 1,668 yards and 22 touchdowns. He expressed gratitude towards the coaching staff for their belief in his abilities and looked forward to showcasing his talents over the next few years at Wake Forest.

Searcy was a standout as a running back and safety for Pittsburg last fall, rushing for 1,668 yards and 22 touchdowns to help the Pirates win a NorCal title.
