In a tragic incident on Christmas Eve, a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 68 resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman from Berkeley, highlighting the perils of impaired driving.
Witnesses described the sequence of events leading up to the crash, stating that the driver of a white Dodge Nitro struck a Lexus SUV after failing to stop, before colliding head-on with a blue Honda Accord.
The Monterey Police Department confirmed that the investigation into the crash is ongoing, as multiple individuals sustained injuries and traffic safety concerns have been raised.
