Bomb cyclone' storm expected detonate in East Bay and South Bay on Friday
Briefly

The first wave of an atmospheric river storm brought massive rainfall to the northern Bay Area, while the East Bay and South Bay remained largely dry.
Meteorologist Roger Gass indicated that the initial storm was stalled but would move, leading to more widespread rain across all areas, especially by Friday and Saturday.
In Santa Rosa, nearly 7 inches of rain fell during the atmospheric river storm, demonstrating the storm’s power and highlighting the uneven distribution of rainfall across the Bay Area.
Forecasts predict that areas in the East Bay could see up to 1.5 inches and over an inch in the South Bay as the system shifts.
