Councilwoman Denise Gray filed an interpersonal protection order against Brenda Monarrez after alleging that Monarrez had been sexually aggressive towards her on multiple occasions.
Judge Traci Brislin ordered Monarrez to work from home and attend council meetings virtually to maintain distance from Gray following the issuance of a temporary protection order.
Monarrez's lawyer, Edward Cooley, expressed that his client wants to share her side of the story at an upcoming hearing to address the protection order.
Gray's lawyer, Raven Turner, stated that Gray remains fearful of Monarrez and believes the aggressive behavior may continue based on reports from other individuals.
