New upper limits for particulate matter, NO2, and SO2 were agreed upon, aiming to establish stricter air quality standards in all 27 EU member nations.
Under the new rules, the 2030 limit values for certain particulate matter and SO2 are to be slashed by half, with reviews by December 31, 2030, and at least every five years after that.
