"Google will now use AI to help you "try on" shoes while sitting at home. Now, when you browse through shoes on Google Shopping, you can hit the "try it on" button on the new heels, sneakers, or sandals you're looking at to see how they might look on you. In case you're wondering, you won't need to send Google your feet pics in order for this feature to work."
"An example shared by the company shows someone uploading a full-length picture of themselves, while Google's AI transforms the white sneakers they're wearing into a number of different shoes, including a pair of black heels with exposed toes. When I tried Google's Doppl app, which similarly serves up AI-generated clips of yourself wearing a new outfit, the company made it clear that it can generate a pair of feet all on its own."
"Google will now use AI to help you "try on" shoes while sitting at home. Google first started testing its AI-powered clothing try-on feature with shirts, pants, dresses, and skirts in May before rolling it out to all users in the US in July. Along with support for shoes, Google announced that it's expanding AI try-on for other apparel in Australia, Canada, and Japan "in the coming weeks.""
Google has added AI-powered shoe try-on functionality to Google Shopping with a "try it on" button for heels, sneakers, and sandals. Users can upload a full-length photo and the AI will visually replace the shoes in the image with different styles, including shoes with exposed toes. The feature does not require separate feet photos because the system can generate or transform foot imagery as needed. Google previously tested AI try-on for shirts, pants, dresses, and skirts beginning in May and rolled that out in the US in July. Expansion of apparel try-on will reach Australia, Canada, and Japan in the coming weeks.
