Amazon's warehouse robots have now exceeded one million, aligning them in number with human workers and highlighting a significant transition to AI-driven automation. Approximately three-quarters of all deliveries are now supported by robotics, which handle tasks like lifting and sorting heavy items. Although Amazon claims this shift will create demand for more technical roles, the CEO has indicated a potential reduction in the corporate workforce, as efficiency gains from AI may lead to fewer staffing needs. Recent advancements include a new robot model that enhances operational capabilities and speeds.
Robots in our fulfillment centres are designed to assist, not replace. They make the workplace safer and more efficient, enabling our employees to focus on more engaging and less physically demanding tasks.
