The architects created a lakeside teahouse featuring a courtyard, inspired by Minnan villages, focusing on transparency and a relaxed atmosphere. Building materials consist of reclaimed timber and stone to maintain a natural feel. By utilizing recycled tea materials for furnishings, the design intertwines the aroma of tea with daily life. The lack of formalities in tea service encourages casual enjoyment. With a layout that promotes flow and views of the surrounding nature, each visit provides a unique experience of 'tea time by the lake.'
We designed a teahouse with a courtyard along the sloping lakeside terrain at CPI Luhu, aimed at openness and transparency for a relaxing tea experience.
To bring tea closer to everyday life, we recycled tea stems and leaves to create tea residue boards, making tea aroma a tangible part of daily life.
