Instagram head Adam Mosseri introduced Edits, a new free video editing app designed for creators, offering advanced tools like higher-quality recordings and trending audio.
Mosseri emphasized that Edits aims to provide a 'full suite of creative tools' for phone users, distinguishing itself from CapCut, which he sees as targeted more at casual users.
While the Edits app will be available for pre-order soon, Mosseri cautioned users that the initial version will be 'incomplete' and urged patience as they refine the product.
Despite user skepticism about the timing of the announcement, Mosseri maintained that Edits has been in development for months and will feature unique AI tools for video editing.
