Google has officially completed the rollout of Gemini Live for all English-speaking users on Android, making multi-turn conversations with its AI assistant available for free.
Previously, Gemini Live was only accessible to those paying for the Gemini Advanced plan, which cost $20 monthly. Now, it is available at no charge to all Android users.
The launch is significant because it democratizes access to conversational AI, contrasting with ChatGPT's Voice Mode, which is limited to paid subscribers.
While both Gemini Live and OpenAI's Voice Mode will eventually integrate camera features for contextual responses, there's no confirmed launch date for these capabilities.
