The FBI has connected numerous break-ins to sophisticated South American Theft Groups, which utilize advanced techniques such as pre-surveillance and drones to target high-value homes.
Local police noted that most burglaries happened when homes were unoccupied, with intruders often entering through back windows or sliding doors when alarm systems were off.
The NBA security team was briefed by the F.B.I. on this organized crime issue, highlighting the critical need for professional athletes to enhance home security measures.
