Experts warn low amount of screen time can impact child's development
Briefly

A study from the University of Canterbury revealed that children spending more than 90 minutes daily on screens face educational setbacks and social issues. Tracking over 6,000 children ages two to eight, researchers found that those with more than 1.5 hours of screen time experienced below-average skills in vocabulary, communication, and numeracy. In contrast, children with less than an hour had better educational outcomes and were more sociable. The findings suggest excessive screen time is detrimental, leading to lower performance in class and increased behavioral problems.
Just 90 minutes of daily screen time can negatively impact children's reading, writing, social skills, and increase their risk of behavioral problems.
Children aged four and eight who spent more than 1.5 hours in front of screens suffered educationally, displaying below-average skills across various subjects.
