The Tidal House Invites Scottish Tranquility on the Solway Coast
Briefly

Tidal House, designed by Brown & Brown Architects for a retired couple, merges contemporary aesthetics with natural beauty along the Solway Coast in Dumfries and Galloway. Its clay brick facade and wooden cladding symbiotically blend durability and elegance, while the central courtyard, featuring an acer Fireglow tree, enhances both privacy and connection to nature. Expansive windows allow for natural light and stunning views, fostering artistic inspiration in the artist's studio, which overlooks the River Urr estuary. The house emphasizes energy efficiency and comfort through its thoughtful design, creating a perfect sanctuary for relaxation and creativity.
We wanted a warm, welcoming home, and feel this is beautifully delivered. We're pinching ourselves still as the whole thing is so incredible.
