Tequila Don Julio Teams Up with Willy Chavarria for a Dia de Muertos-Inspired Bottle | stupidDOPE
Briefly

Chavarria, known for his innovative designs and deep connection to his roots, has brought his creative genius to the Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino bottle. Growing up in California's San Joaquin Valley, Chavarria has long been inspired by art, luxury, and his Mexican heritage. His vision shines through in this bottle design, blending his signature roses with timeless Mexican iconography of Día de Muertos.
Launched originally in 2012 to mark the 70th anniversary of Don Julio González's revolutionary impact on the tequila world, Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino was the first of its kind. Aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels, this Añejo Cristalino is filtered using a charcoal process, offering the rich complexities of an Añejo with the crisp, fresh agave flavor often found in a Blanco.
I am deeply inspired by my Mexican heritage which I strive to represent through my art and design. The Tequila Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition bottle along with my recent collection is a heartfelt illustration of the synergy between time-honored tradition and Mexico's modernism.
