EHKA Studio has envisioned Da Silva House, part of Singapore's architectural landscape, as a 'Library House', celebrating the essence of family bonding with books at its heart.
The atrium, designed as a central luminous space, enhances the house with abundant light and air, while its sweeping timber bookshelves create a nurturing atmosphere for reading.
Arch motifs are integrated throughout the house, with three-dimensional curves on the facade that create an illusion of fluidity, showcasing modern aesthetics while prioritizing human scale.
Located centrally, the family dining hall encourages social interaction among residents, complemented by semi-private areas that provide both community and privacy in the four-storey home.
