Stairway to Rococo heaven reopens as Jacquemart-Andre restoration completes
Briefly

The Musée Jacquemart-André reopens on 6 September after a €6.5m renovation, offering visitors the chance to dine under Tiepolo’s frescoes in an exquisite historic setting.
According to curator Pierre Curie, despite a year-long renovation and significant investment, the museum remains true to its essence, focusing on conservation rather than transformation.
The mansion, originally built for the banker Edouard André, boasts architectural feats like hydraulic partition walls and a stunning double helix staircase adorned with faux marble and gold.
The stunning frescoes, restoration of which was completed in 1998, depict Henri III's return to France and are an iconic feature of the building's lavish interior.
