Tijn & Raisa envisioned a private villa that harmonizes comfort and hospitality, featuring connections to nature with wood, open spaces, and sustainable design principles.
The architects fell in love with the site for its ecosystem of mature trees and nurturing energy, inspiring a design that feels timeless and integrated with nature.
Incorporating a Bornean long-house concept, the design features locally sourced materials and traditional Indonesian architectural elements, such as a Balinese-inspired hipped roof.
A core design principle focused on preserving existing natural elements, adding tropical plants to enhance biodiversity while ensuring the villa feels rooted in its environment.
